Many members of the previous Legislative Council did not seek re-election; some chose to switch careers and return to the private sector, while others chose to become radio hosts. Former Legislative Council member Lam So-wai, a social worker herself, has returned to her social welfare profession. She revealed today (August 21) that she is now serving as the Director of Initiatives and Community Development at the UNICEF Hong Kong Committee. She stated that her past work focused on local and regional social welfare services, and this involvement in social service work with an international organization is not only a completely new experience but also a profound learning journey.
